My cats are all but angels and have almost never chewed on any plant I have. A few months ago I did find my senior girl Daenerys nibbling on my syngonium. Shooed her off fast, took the hint, and made a fresh batch of wheat grass.

I am so envious! I wish my black cat Gypsy would leave my house plants alone like beautiful Muffin does yours. My favorite floor plant possibly even favorite plant (I just have a baby one) is my Thai Constellation Monstera. Another of my personal favorite floor plants is my Norfolk Pine. It has such unique folage. I love the ZZ Raven, but I am leary of having one in my home, because they are so toxic to cats. But if I were to have a work office, I would definitely own one. I totally agree with you, I want a varigated Cast Iron plant and even a small specimen is quite pricey.

The syngoniums which I've had for generations (propagations), for 40 yrs, has transformed into various types, depending on the environment. The shoots which planted itself outside turned into syngonium auritum (arrowhead)with huge leaves (7" diameter, the larger ones now becoming 5 lobed leaves), whereas the ones in pots remain regular podophyllum (white or yellow veins) depending on light. Some are all green, if in shade. The leaves come in various shapes also, from thin to wide. I find this a very amusing form of hybridization at home! ...Your collection is astonishing, as usual, and your new auritum reminded me I should attend to my syngoniums! Thanks for the tour.

How often should I water when propagating directly in soil?

I stayed awah from peperomia because i heard some influencers put them down.. but i recently got into them. There are some fun ones and theh affordable. Great plants to get into when you are itching to buy a new plant but have limited funds.

So I had no idea what macrome was before I watched this. It started auto playing after a failed diy rope plant hanging video. I followed your video 1 time I used extra rope as my plant was quite large . It turned out BEAUTIFULLY!!! Thank you so much my rosemary is safe away from my flock and has a gorgeous hanger I didn't know I was capable of making. I subscribed and am definitely trying this again

I have the Hoya my mother got as a cutting from a plant in our dental office (about 1965). As far as I can remember it has only bloomed twice. She had taken a picture of the bloom, and for YEARS she had that photo stuck in the plant! I have had it near a west facing window since November 2023. I have seen just a few new leaves, and still no blooms. I am impatiently waiting!

I have a Calathea Mosaic - but the leaves are very light green - yours looks much darker. I have the plant under light - could it be caused from the lights??

I learned a lesson on moving focus outdoor for the summer. I keep my Burgundy directly in a south facing window. I bought a green rubber tree “Chloe” and put it outside on my west facing deck. Two of the leaves burned! I was so sad, and felt really bad. I have it moved to my north facing portion of the deck in the shade. Doing fine there. So even if a plant can take direct INDOOR light, does not mean it can withstand direct outdoor light. At least not without acclimation.

I learned two weeks ago the worst thing about having sooo many plants. Moving , it took me days and so much stress to move all my plants to my new house. So many are struggling and a lot have died because of the heat ( AZ)

Lipstick plants are beautiful trailing plants…love their foliage!

You should feed your birkin with iron or high nitrogen fertilizers and it need so much indirect sunlight ,(and grow lights works well too fir them)

Sansevieria ballyii can make a great trailing plant once the off shoots get growing. I love mine!

I experienced my first plant burnout this past winter my i do y have nearly as many plants as you do but i have anound 50 indoors and 30 out side. It gets a little crazy in the winter but i have done good fo rthe past 4 years and most of the plants made it through.

Big shout out for lipstick plants 🪴 I don’t usually go for flowering houseplants, but love all of them . Easy to grow too .

Rhipsalis are my absolute favorite type of plants! I have ~25 plants in my classroom. The rhipsalis plants are the ones that colleagues and students most frequently ask about. I love sharing rhipsalis - so easy to propogate and care for and YES they make great trailing plants!!!!

Oh wow Nick you have a lot of plants and so many beautiful ones and I do understand the ones you want to get rid of, I have gotten rid of plants that I didn't want anymore, I have also been dealing with those stupid mealy bugs, I really hate those alot.
